National Junior Honor Society - December News

CHRISTMAS COLLECTION

The National Junior Honor Society is organizing a Christmas Collection for the animals that are living at the Animal Welfare League in Chicago Ridge. During this time of year, the shelter is in need of old beach towels, bath towels, and blankets which are used to keep the cages warm during the winter months.

Our goal this Christmas was to provide a "giving" opportunity for the students that did not result in any shopping or expense on the part of their parents. And, most of the middle school students shared with me that their linen closets do have some items that are suitable for the purpose of lining cages. (We've got tons of towels with holes and bleach spots!)

NJHS TUTORING PROGRAM

Also, the students that have been participating in the NJHS tutoring program have been doing an incredible job, and Dr. Stritch has treated them to a pizza lunch. Thank you to everyone involved!
