Last week's field trip was so much fun! Barraco's was very nice and the kids had a lot of fun, the pizza was delicious too :) I can't believe this is the last month for Kindergarten!! It is a busy month, so here is a look at this month and some reminders for the remainder of the year...
This week...
Monday
We started letters Xx and Yy in Reading. The story was sent home, "The Big, Big, Box." Please review it with your child, it is a long one!
Kindergarten Picnic and T-Shirt money was due today! If you forgot, don't worry please send it in by Tuesday...thanks!

Tuesday
Scholastic Book Orders are being sent home. This will be the last one of the year, you may want to consider getting some books for Summer reading!
They will be due back on Friday, in order to assure they are delivered before we are out of school. Remember, you can still order online too!
HW: Letter Xx/Yy printing page.
Wednesday
In Math we will be finishing up our Chapter in Subtraction this week. Throughout the end of the year I will continue to work with the students on both addition and subtraction. They are all doing very well, but extra practice will help them a ton in first grade!
Thursday
Q and U Wedding! I hope to see everyone if you can make it. The ceremony starts promptly at 11:00am. It should only last about 15 to 30 minutes. We are busy with the preparations this week, and we are all very excited! Your child should come dressed up with a gift for Mr. and Mrs. Qu. (It should start with qu and it will be returned on Friday)
Check out the blog for a slideshow of the event!
Friday
Library ~ Mrs. Conn has asked that each child bring in a flower. The students will be learning about the different parts of a flower. They can bring in a real flower, a fake flower, a picture of a flower, or even a drawing.
HW: Riddle of the Week. This will be our last riddle for the remainder of the year!!
Rest towels coming home. You do not need to send rest towels for the rest of the year. Now that we are "almost first graders" we will no longer be having rest time.
Have a GREAT weekend and Happy Mother's Day to all you Moms! I hope your Sunday is extra special :)
If you have any questions, let me know.
