I was sitting at home watching the Olympics with my wife and daughter and my wife asked me "Where does someone go to learn how to Luge. Why would they want to do that?" So I thought it would be a good idea for the sixth grade to write a brief paper on an Olympic event.
The assignment is for the students to write a two to three page paper on an event that I have assigned to them. I went over what I expected with each class and gave them a hand out outlining what was expected. THIS IS NOT TAKING THE PLACE OF GYM CLASS. This is taking place of the Olympics. When the weather breaks, we may do a field day or mini-Olympics outside.
