The Art room is already producing some great works. Kinders new to coming to Art are learning their way around.
What's new and exciting this year is that Grades 1-5 will have Art two times per week for a total of 80 minutes per week. I expect to get a lot of creative work done and we have already started.
Grade 1
Look for our patch of sunflowers. Room 14 will be making a reading yellow submarine. Room
16 have already completed a Matisse like project that reinforced a reading lesson.
Grade 2
Illustrated and wrote about what they did on their summer vacation.
Grade 3
Has been busy painting sunflowers in the style of Vincent Van Gogh.
Grades 4-8
Are doing a Missionary project and the finished project will be entered in an Archdioceses competition.
Additionally, as you know St. Linus has been designated as a National Blue Ribbon School look for Blue Ribbons everywhere, made by our 8th Graders.
Finally, I also teach 6th Grade Religion to room 22. Look here for homework and test information.
Please stop in the Art Room on Parent Orientation Night, Tuesday September 27th.
