ADVISORY/DISCOVERY

*All 7th grade students need to have a one-inch 3-ring binder which will be used as an Advisory journal. This binder is in addition to the one-inch binder that all middle school students will need for their English writing portfolios.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

I hope that everyone enjoyed the beautiful weekend weather. I kept wondering if that was my last weekend in the pool.

Of course, while the weather is still so warm, the children are welcome/encouraged to bring water bottles. Believe it or not, they (the water bottles, not the kids) are much easier to manage than the constant requests to go to the drinking fountain.

All 6th graders and students who are new to St. Linus's middle school will be given information this week on becoming members of NJHS. It is the students' responsibility to manage their own "paperwork". Wish them luck!

The National Junior Honor Society will hold its election on Tuesday for the four officers. Good luck to Marlena, Maggie W., Sarah, Christy, Taressa, and Bridget!

Speaking of NJHS, we have made arrangements for the 7th and 8th grade members to attend a Chicago Wolves' game on Wednesday, January 12th. We are already looking forward to an after-Christmas activity!
