The chapter 11 test will be next Wednesday.

7th Grade
We finished presenting our Living Presidents project.

8th Grade
The eighth graders finished presenting their unit projects. Students also watched short clips about the Roaring Twenties and also a PowerPoint.

Religion
Students made thank you cards for teachers they have had in the past.

6th Grade
The sixth graders read 11.3 today. Workbook pages 80 and 82 along with lesson questions 2-5 were assigned.

7th Grade
The seventh graders began presenting their Living Presidents projects. They are excellent!

8th Graders
The eighth graders began presenting their unit projects. They are excellent as well!

Religion
We did opening activities for chapter 10.

January 17, 2012

6th Grade
The sixth graders corrected their homework from Friday. Students also listened to 9.4 on tape and were assigned lesson questions 2-5 and workbook page 65. The chapter 9 test will be on Friday. Study guides will also be due at this time.

7th Grade
The seventh graders corrected their homework from Friday. We also reviewed for the quiz tomorrow over pages 20-23.

8th Grade
The eighth graders received their chapter 21 part 2 tests back. We went over them as a class. Students also looked through their books to decide what they want to do their Unit 7. The project is due on January 31.

Religion
Students worked on their Unit Review in their books.

Spanish (Room 18)
Students reviewed what they have learned so far.

6th Grade
We corrected our homework from last night and reviewed what we have learned so far. Students were given a timeline and crossword puzzle. If it was not finished in class, it is for homework.

7th Grade
We reviewed what we have learned so far along with the lawmaking process. We read from our books and students were assigned questions and two crossword puzzles. Whatever was not finished in class is for homework.

8th Grade
The eighth graders took their chapter 21 part 2 test today. Study guides were also collected.

Religion
Students took their chapter 8 tests today.

6th Grade
The sixth graders read chapter 9.3 today in class. Homework from yesterday was collected. Lesson questions and workbook page 64 were assigned. If they were not finished in class, they are for homework.

7th Grade
The seventh graders received their quizzes back. We began talking about the lawmaking process. A worksheet was assigned for homework.

8th Grade
The eighth graders reviewed for their chapter 21 part 2 test tomorrow.

Religion
Students wrote in their faith journals and reviewed for the chapter 8 test tomorrow.

January 11, 2012

6th Grade
The sixth graders drew pictures portraying life in both Athens and Sparta. If it was not finished, it is for homework.

7th Grade and 8th Grade
The seventh and eighth graders drew pictures depicting weird laws passed in Illinois. This is due tomorrow if it was not finished in class.

Religion
Students worked on the chapter 8 review in class. The test on chapter 8 will be on Friday.

January 10, 2012

6th Grade
We went over our homework from yesterday. We talked about the Olympics and watched clips of historical Olympic moments.

7th Grade
The seventh graders took their test over the legislative branch today.

8th Grade
We corrected our homework from yesterday and we talked more about the influenza of 1918.

Religion
Students made their own nature prayers based on the Book of Daniel.

Spanish (Room 18)
Students took their test over the days of the week and months of the year.

January 9, 2012

6th Grade
The sixth graders read chapter 9.2. Lesson questions 2-5 and workbook page 62 were assigned. Whatever was not finished in class is for homework.

7th Grade
We corrected our homework from Friday and reviewed for tomorrow’s quiz. The test will be on workbook pages 16-19.

8th Grade
The eighth graders read 21.4 and were assigned CYP 1 and 2.

Religion
We read about San Juan Diego and answered questions about his life story.

Spanish (Room 26)
We talked about school supplies. A worksheet was given to be completed for homework.

January 6, 2012

6th Grade
We corrected our homework from yesterday and reviewed. The sixth graders also watched short films about bull leaping and life in Ancient Greece. Students then wrote a story pretending like they were living in Ancient Greece.

7th Grade
We corrected our homework from yesterday and talked about the House of Representatives. There will be a quiz on pages 16-19 on Tuesday.

8th Grade
We corrected our homework from yesterday. Students then filled in a flowchart explaining American involvement in WWI. Students received their tic tac toe project guidelines. The project is due on January 31.

Religion
Students handed in their prayers and haiku. Also, we read from the book and completed a worksheet.

Spanish (Room 18 and 20)
Eighth graders will have a quiz on the days of the week and months of the year next week.

January 5, 2012

6th Grade
The sixth graders read chapter 9.1. Lesson questions 2-5 were assigned along with workbook page 61.

7th Grade
We began to learn about the legislative branch. Workbook questions on page 16 along with a worksheet were assigned for homework.

8th Grade
We read chapter 21.3. CYP questions were assigned for homework.

Religion
We made haikus about nature and wrote a prayer for class openers. Whatever was not finished in class is for homework.
