6th Grade
The sixth graders read 11.3 today. Workbook pages 80 and 82 along with lesson questions 2-5 were assigned.

7th Grade
The seventh graders began presenting their Living Presidents projects. They are excellent!

8th Graders
The eighth graders began presenting their unit projects. They are excellent as well!

Religion
We did opening activities for chapter 10.

6th Grade
The chapter 11 test will be next Wednesday.

7th Grade
We finished presenting our Living Presidents project.

8th Grade
The eighth graders finished presenting their unit projects. Students also watched short clips about the Roaring Twenties and also a PowerPoint.

Religion
Students made thank you cards for teachers they have had in the past.

6th Grade
We read 11.4. Students were assigned workbook page 81 and lesson questions 2-5. The chapter 11 test will be on Wednesday. Study guides will be due on this day as well.

7th Grade
The seventh graders completed two crossword puzzles. If they were not finished in class they are for homework.

Religion
Students were did activity about creating their own Holy Rituals and completed a worksheet. Whatever was not finished in class is for homework.

6th Grade
I checked the homework from last night. We then reviewed for the chapter 11 test tomorrow. Study guides are also due at this time.

7th Grade
We reviewed what we have learned so far with the Constitution.

8th Grade
Dr. Stritch gave the students some background information for our field trip tomorrow.

Religion
We talked about sacramentals. Students also wrote a 10 sentence prayer to be used for class openers. If it was not finished in class it is due tomorrow.

6th Grade
The sixth graders began their study of chapter 12. Workbook page 85 was assigned along with lesson questions 2-5. Students also received their chapter 11 tests back.

7th Graders
We began talking about the Judicial Branch. Workbook page 36 was assigned along with a worksheet. The final Constitution test will be on February 28. Students must pass this test in order to graduate.

8th Grade
The eighth graders watched a video previewing chapter 23.

Religion
We talked about the Sacrament of Holy Orders. The chapter 10 test will be on Thursday.

Spanish
We reviewed vocabulary words in Spanish.

6th Grade
We corrected our homework from yesterday and reviewed 12.1. Students received their chapter 12 study guides. Students then picked four Chinese symbols to depict on construction paper. Whatever was not finished in class is for homework.

7th Grade
We corrected our homework from last night. Students reviewed what we have learned so far and we read pages 37-38. Questions on these pages were assigned for homework. Whatever was not finished in class is for homework. The final Constitution test will be on February 28.

8th Grade
The eighth graders received their chapter 22 tests back and we went over them together. Students read 23.1 and answered the checkpoint and check your progress questions. The chapter 23 study guide was also passed out. Whatever was not finished in class is for homework.

Religion
Students worked on their chapter 10 review and we corrected it together. The chapter 10 test will be on Thursday.

Spanish (Room 18)
We did an activity with our current vocabulary words.

6th Grade
The sixth graders read 12.2. We reviewed what we have learned so far in chapter 12. Students were assigned lesson questions 2-5 and workbook page 86. Whatever was not finished in class is for homework.

7th Grade
We check homework and read the next two pages. Workbook page 39 was assigned and the crossword puzzles were also assigned. Whatever is not finished in class is for homework. The Constitution test will be on February 28. Field trip forms are due on Friday.

8th Grade
We corrected our homework and reviewed section 1. Students then looked at pictures from the Great Depression and we had class discussions about them.

Religion
Students worked on their prayer journal and we reviewed for the chapter 10 test tomorrow.

Spanish (Room 26)
Students wrote down the vocabulary words for family members and parts of the body. There will be a quiz on this in two weeks.

6th Grade
We corrected the homework from last night. The sixth graders then were assigned a Chinese dynasty and drew pictures depicting the achievements and advancements during the dynasty. Whatever was not finished in class is for homework.

7th Grade
The seventh graders corrected the homework from last night. We read the next two units about changing the Constitution and the flag. The questions on these pages and worksheet were assigned for homework. The Constitution test will be on February 28. Field trip permission slips are due tomorrow.

8th Grade
The eighth grade read 23.2. The CYP questions were assigned for homework.

Religion
Students took the chapter 10 test today.

6th Grade
The sixth graders read 12.3 and completed workbook page 87 and lesson questions 2-5. Students also chose their next country for the class openers.

7th Grade
The seventh graders read pages 43-44. A double-sided crossword puzzle, along with questions on pages 43-44 were assigned for homework. There will be a quiz on Tuesday over pages 46-44. The Constitution test will be on February 28.

8th Grade
The eighth graders drew pictures depicting eight of the New Deal measures. This is due on Tuesday.

Religion
Students worked on the opening activities for Chapter 11.

6th Grade
We corrected our homework from the weekend. Students then viewed a PowerPoint about the Great Wall of China and watched a short clip of someone on a toboggan slide down the Wall. I also read a few excerpts from You Wouldn’t Want to Build the Great Wall of China.

7th Grade
The seventh graders corrected their work from over the weekend. We reviewed for the quiz tomorrow over pages 36-43.

8th Grade
The eighth graders read 23.3 together as a class. Students were assigned the CYP and SFQ for homework.

Religion
We talked about Lent. Students completed a double sided worksheet about the season.

Spanish (Room 18)
Students created maps using five of their vocabulary words.

6th Grade
The sixth graders read 12.4 and were assigned lesson questions 2-4 and workbook page 89. Whatever was not finished in class is for homework. The chapter 12 test will be on Wednesday. Study guides will also be due at this time.

7th Grade

Students made crosses with their Lenten Promise on them. Whatever was not finished in class is for homework.

Students made family trees. There will be a quiz next week on family members and parts of the body.

6th Grade
The sixth graders read short readings about the Taj Mahal and life as a samurai. They were also assigned workbook pages 84 and 90. Whatever was not finished in class is for homework.

7th Grade
The seventh graders completed the self test in their Constitution books. Whatever was not finished in class is for homework.

8th Grade
The eighth graders organized events of the Great Depression in chronological order.

Religion
Students continued with chapter 11.

6th Grade
The sixth graders completed a reading and questions. The chapter 12 test will be on Wednesday. Study guides will be due then as well.

7th Grade
The seventh grade reviewed for the Constitution test. The test will be on Tuesday. Study guides will be due then as well.

8th Grade
The eighth graders read 23.4 and answered the CYP questions. The chapter 23 test will be on Wednesday. Study guides will be due then as well.

Religion
We talked about what we think God and heaven look like.

6th Grade
The sixth graders worked on the chapter review on page 366. If it was not finished in class it is for homework. The chapter 12 test is on Wednesday. Study guides are due at this time as well.

7th Grade
We reviewed for the Constitution test tomorrow. Study guides are due at this time as well.

8th Grade
The eighth graders watched a video about the Dust Bowl. The chapter 23 test is on Wednesday. Study guides are due at this time as well.

Religion
We read the story about the Prodigal Son.

Spanish
We talked about pronouns in Spanish. There will be a quiz next week on places in the town vocabulary.
