Report cards were sent home on Friday, 4/16. I hope that you are pleased with your child's progress. If you have concerns you would like to address, please contact me at any time.
During the 4th quarter we will be work hard on expressive reading. When your child reads to you at home, please remind them not to be "robot readers" whenever necessary. They will know what you mean because I use that expression often in the classroom! I'm pleased to see so many of my students making the leap to more complex chapter books and getting so much enjoyment from them.
We are working on reading the clock to tell the time in Math. Please spend some time practicing at home. If you do not have any analog clocks in the house, or a practice clock, you can have your child read the digital time, then tell you what that means. For example, if the clock reads 10:23, they should be able to tell you that it is 23 minutes past 10 o'clock.
Have a great weekend!
