We celebrate St. Valentine's Day on Tuesday, 2/14 with a simple celebration. Your child may bring Valentine cards to share with the class -- we have a total of 17 children, 9 boys, 8 girls. I believe that Mrs. Cholke could still use a little help with our celebration - please let me know if you would like to volunteer. We will celebrate near the end of our school day, from 1:15 to 2:15 p.m.

This week in Math, we introduce the quarter and dollar in our study of money. Please continue to practice counting coins at home. We use play coins here at school, but it just isn't the same as working with the real thing!

LAST MINUTE NEWS FLASH...
I've been told that we were granted an extension on the Great America Read to Succeed Six Hour Reading Program -- the new deadline is February 25th, so keep on reading if you haven't yet turned in your form!

Have a wonderful week!
