Dull Days of Winter

With the dull days of wintter upon us, things are running good at STL. Middle School is all a buzz, with the 8th graders receiving their letters from their HS. Congrads to all.
Confirmation retreat has been completed and from what I hear, it was a success.
No major project in Science untill mid-March or after the Easter break. We are looking at Volcanos for the 6th, planting a seeds for the 7th, and building bridges in the 8th. I will keep you posted.

Just a reminder to encourage the students to continue to study their material. During these months, students have a tendency to "slack" off. Not every student, but some do. Together, we will continue to educate the future scholars.
As always, my door is always open. Questions, contact me.
Thanks and please keep Christ in your hearts this Lenten season.

Holidays are Coming

The holidays are coming, but before they get here, I need to fill you in on a few things. The 7th and 8th graders are working on a paper dealing with Environment Sciences. This paper is due on the 17th of December. During the holidays, I enjoy reading these papers sitting by the tree.

The 6th graders will be working on an in-school project. We will be covering the food chains and biomes. I will be looking forward to working on these project with them.

Other news, White Pines went well. I think the students learned a lot about the outdoors as well as themselves. A special thanks to all the parents that went to White Pines.

As always, if you have any concerns or questions, please email me or call the school. If I don't get a chance, Happy Thanksgiving and Happy Holidays to all.

The first quarter is coming to a rapid close. Students have settled in and are working hard. 6th graders are working on a DNA project, which should be completed soon. 7th and 8th graders will be assigned a written project the second quarter. Middle School as a whole, is doing a great job this quarter.
Up coming events include White Pines and a trip to Pulman on the East Side for the 8th graders.
Any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me at school.

Where did the Summer go?

Well, back to school. The first month is coming to a close and the students are beginning to settle in. All grades are posted on engrade. mrpawelski and you child's number from last year is all you need to see the results of the work being done in the classroom; test, quizzes and homework. Speaking of homework, they have it every night. They need to look over the notes.

As always, any questions, please feel free to email me.
