She supervised the class during the Friday teacher luncheon. That in itself was a gift! When I got back to the room everyone was hiding and surprised me with a darling poster!! Thanks for making the feet.... The class wants everyone to see it so it's hanging outside the classroom. How lucky I am! It was a successful Catholic Schools Week!

Lent starts Wed.! Since we started working with money recently,there will be an exciting new activity in Room 14!! It's called the Lenten Store! During Center time on Friday, Feb.26th., Friday, March12th., and Friday, March 26th. the classroom will be transformed into a children's store where your child can buy items ranging from .10 to .50. The proceeds will go to the Boys and Girls Home of Chicago.
There's a St. Linus sweartshirt that has blue writing in the class.........your child's??

In religion this week we will focus on the beginning of Lent. Please review pages 296-299 Tues. night for homework.
*Two of my favorite stories are in the reader for this week. Therefore, if your child has a cowboy hat, scarf or boots he/she can bring them to school.
* Please look and see if you have the Thurs. story More Spaghetti, thanks!!
*Mission banks went home Friday. The money you send in for the Lenten store will go to the missions. Up to you if you want to fill a bank too. Banks are due back 3-26.
*PLEAS SEND IN A FAMILY PHOTO TO BE USED IN OUR MASS ON THURSDAY. ALL PICTURES WILL BE RETURNED.

It seems like a long time ago but the class had a blast thanks to Mrs. Owens, Mrs. Greene, Mrs. Clark and Mrs. Kokaska! They enjoyed their Valentine's Day party a lot!!

*They don't know it yet but at lunch time they are going to watch a real rodeo and pretend gun fight from Cody Wy.! If you are a fan of Yellowstone and haven't been there it is a marvel! Hope some day you and your family can go!
*Believe it or not, I am looking forward to 5 days in school. We can get back on our routine.
*If you have a joke or riddle book please send it in.
*With the new month comes a new activity. It is an independent one. It's called The Problem of the Week. Each Mon. will be a problem to be solved. On Th. I will correct them and you can see how your child does. Only a few will try because this is my most challenging work for a first grader to do and thats ok.
* If you have any Dr. Seuss books and remember send them in. Tues. is Dr. Seuss' birthday!
