Friendship Salad!

Frriday we made a friendship salad. The ingredients were a big bowl (many important things our room needs), grapes ( kind students), kiwi ( good listeners), apples ( hard workers), marshmallows ( kids who share), peaches ( good manners) and whipping cream ( the happiness we feel when we try our best.) 16 out of 17 students

Who knows!

I put in 5 photos and 2 came out unless they come out later. I can try again later. My sentence also got eaten up! Just like the first graders, practice, practice, practice!!

Thanks for sending in all the supplies. A few need to fill out the purple information sheet still. The snacks in a separate place are working out great as are the cups. FYI At lunch some are finished in 5 minutes and some take the 30 minutes. My rule is anything not eaten goes back home so you can see how your child is doing. I know in the hot weather more might be going home.

FYI

* In your child's folder was the F.P. paper. We call it the first paper. Usually there will be one on each desk so I can take care of business. Sometimes we correct it as a group and other times we don't. If your child doesn't finish there could be 2 reasons. One is slow to do work or 2 is talking. F.P. papers do not need to come back.
* NO JUICE AT SNACK TIME. We have a lot to do and water is plenty. Some haven't sent in a cup yet.
* We are 5 shoeboxes short. Do you have any extra? The words can't go home until we decorate them!
* The idea of the clothespins is so you can see daily how your child is doing. I never have a child move it unless I see it happen myself. We had a meeting at the end of the day. I told the class they wouldn't get in trouble. A couple were worried. 9 clothespins were moved for various reasons.
* LUNCH TOWELS PLEASE..... if you didn't send one in. Thanks!!
*See if your child can tell you about the story Go Away Monsters Lickety Split. Therre is a drawing in the folder.
* Please empty folder daily and review the work!!
