Class news 9-1

* Some students have a Sept. story in their backpack. They are my stories. Read with your child please. Student IS NOT expected to be able to read it by their self. If time doesn't permit, PLEASE send the envelope back so another child can have a turn.
* If your child has hot lunches some days, still send a daily snack.
* We now have a spot next to the water cooler for cups. It is working well. The room is so hot it's important to stay hydrated.
*Clothespins have been moving each day this week. With 17 different personalities we need to have class rules so they can get smarter. I hope you just remind your child to try his/her best tomorrow and leave it at that. We had a rug meeting to that effect today. I reminded the class that God is only perfect. If your child comstantly has the clothespin moved then we can talk to make the situation better.
*Thanks for taking the time to read this. ML

Spelling: What an awesome job the class did on their first spelling test! I told the class this morning that I give a clue, a hint for each word. I tell them how many letters are in a word. This can tell you if your child is listening too. The only uppercase letter should have been the word I.
Keep practicing b and d. I know they are confusing.

Spelling words for Friday's test are the following.
my, who, get, pan, bet, fan, rug, mug, hat, and

The Real Routine Has Begun!

Week of Sept. 20-24
* When your child is sick, missed school work can be picked up in the office from 2:30-3:30.
*Be proud! We are off to an amazing start! The class is listening well, being kind to one another, working hard, starting to perform through song and dance, and of course having some giggles.
*Monday starts the Student of the Week!

Homework:
Reading- Please don't let your child go ahead in the reader. Reason being, that when I want the class to predict what will happen next, those that go ahead don't have to THINK. They know the answer.
Mon. envelope words and reader - p.10-17. RETURN READER EACH TIME.
Tues. My Cat (doesn't came back)
Wed. reader - p.18-39

Spelling words: (mom, man, will, no, dad, at, cat, sat, ran, an) TEST FRIDAY

Enjoy the week-end!
