Hi Parents,

I hope you and your family had a wonderful relaxing weekend, and were able to attend the Blue Ribbon Mass. It was memorable and special, and I know I'll always remember the Mass.

The following is a schedule for the 4th and 5th Grades:

Fifth Grade: Thursday, 1/19/2012 Reading Test on "Missing Links"
Vocabulary Open Book Test on Units 1-9 (Rm. 27)
Friday, 1/20/2012 Reading Skills Test - Drawing Conclusions
If necessary, the students wil be able to finish
the Vocabulary Test today. (Room 27)

General Information:

There will be an All School Mass at 8:30 a.m. on Tues. 1/17/2012
Report Cards will be sent home this week.

Hi Parents,

Next Sunday, Jan. 15th, 2012, Cardinal Francis George will be here to celebrate the 10:30 a.m. Mass. We will be sitting as a class on The Tabernacle Side. The students are asked to wear their uniforms to Church. What an exciting time for St. Linus!

NJHS is having a bake sale this Friday, 12/09/2011 - everything will be $.50. The money will go to purchasing gifts for a family from the St. Linus giving tree. What a wonderful idea!

Happy November! It's hard to believe that one-fourth of the school year is gone.
Next week will be a busy week: The Book Fair, The Veteran's Assembly in the Church, and Conferences. The Book Fair will start on Monday, November 7th and run through Wednesday, November 9th. Family Night will be on Tuesday, November 8th. The Veteran's Assembly will take place in the Church on Thursday, 11/10/2011 in the morning, and Conferences will be from 12:00p.m. - 8:00 p.m. If you are planning on coming to talk with me, would you give me an idea of when you'd be coming? I am doing something different this year. Every Friday, one student from each class (one from room 25, one from room 27, and one from room 29) willl be given a good news note. I pull a card from each class, and that student will receive a good news note. By the end of the year, every child will receive a note.
