Happy New Year Everyone,

Thank You again for all of the wonderful and generous gifts. It is truly appreciated!
Now that we are back in school, I'd like to give you the upcoming schedule for tests::

Monday, 01/04/2010
HW: Vocabulary (orange book) pages 72 and 73
English - page 107, Parts A and B, Write out Sentences. The students were told about Book Report Number 3 which will be due on Friday, Jan. 29th, 2010.

Friday, 01/08/2010
Reading Test on the story, "I Love Guinea Pigs" - There will be no Skills test.

Monday, 01/11/2010
English Test on Unit 3; All School Mass at 8:30 a.m.

Tuesday, 01/12/2010.
Vocabulary (orange book) Test on Units 5-8. The test will include sentence completion (with a word bank provided), match the meaning, and identification of parts of speech - nouns, verbs, or adjectives.

This is hard to believe that we are at the halfway point already! Where has the time gone?
I thought I would update you on the things we are studying: English - we just started chapter 4 which is on Verbs. In Science, we are working on the Weather. Reading - We are in Unit 2, and we will be starting to read the story, "The Swimming Hole", and in Vocabulary, we are working on Unit 9. We are really moving along and keeping busy.

Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to review the directions on how to do this month's book report. First, the students
need an empty Kleenex box. It doesn't matter what size it is. Next, students will use construction paper to cover the 4 sides of the box. The top and bottom don't need to be covered. If your child needs construction paper, I will give it to them. Lastly, on the 4 sides of the box, they may draw anything that's related to the story. For example, characters, setting,
what they liked about the book, or any scene they'd like to draw. I hope this helps.

Mrs. Gallagher showed the 4th grade the quilt.. She is asking if some students

Monday, 02/01/2010 Science - Chapter C1 Test; Vocabulary (orange book) Unit 10 Spelling Test
Tuesday, 02/02/2010 Vocabulary (orange book) Unit 10 Test
Wednesday, 02/03/2010 Student Appreciation Day!
