I was overwhelmed by your thoughtfulness, kindness, and generosity at Christmastime.
It was truly appreciated, and I feel very blessed. Thank You. I wish everyone a happy and healthy new year.

It's time to get back to reality. The following is a schedule for this short week:

Fifth Grade: Friday, 1/5/2012 Open Book Reading Skills Test (skill - Author's Viewpoint)

Hi Parents,

Next Sunday, Jan. 15th, 2012, Cardinal Francis George will be here to celebrate the 10:30 a.m. Mass. We will be sitting as a class on The Tabernacle Side. The students are asked to wear their uniforms to Church. What an exciting time for St. Linus!

Other FYI:

1. Scholastic Orders (Rooms 25 & 27) Are DUE Wednesday, 1/11/2012.
2. For both 4th and 5th Grades: Book Report Slides are due on Wednesday, 1/11/2012
3. Friday, January 13th, is the end of the Second Quarter.

Tuesday, 1/10/2012 English Test on Chapter 3 - Pronouns. (Sections 3.1 - 3.6)

Fifth Grade:

Wednesday, 1/11/2012 English Test on Chapter 3 - Adjectives. (Sections 3.1 - 3.6)
Thursday, 1/12/2012 Vocabulary (Room 27) Spelling Test on Unit 9
Friday, 1/13/2012 Vocabulary (Room 27) Test on Unit 9

Hi Parents,

I hope you and your family had a wonderful relaxing weekend, and were able to attend the Blue Ribbon Mass. It was memorable and special, and I know I'll always remember the Mass.

The following is a schedule for the 4th and 5th Grades:

Fourth Grade: Wednesday, 1/18/2012 Reading Test on "Komodo Dragons"
Thursday, 1/19/2012 Reading Skills Test - Context Clues

Fifth Grade: Thursday, 1/19/2012 Reading Test on "Missing Links"
Vocabulary Open Book Test on Units 1-9 (Rm. 27)
Friday, 1/20/2012 Reading Skills Test - Drawing Conclusions
If necessary, the students wil be able to finish
the Vocabulary Test today. (Room 27)

General Information:

There will be an All School Mass at 8:30 a.m. on Tues. 1/17/2012
Report Cards will be sent home this week.
